Sky Sterling - Anime D20 by evion Sky Sterling - Anime D20 by evion
Well, one of my friends was D&D deprived enough to be convinced to DM a game, thus he has started an Anime campaign using the BESM d20 system ;3 I'm definitely gonna be a part of THAT, so I make up my character along with the others. I was wavering between Shapechanger and Martial Arist, or a multiclass of those two, but Shapechanger definitely won out in the end. And I'm glad too, Sky is a blast to play!

The setting is a futuristic sci-fi with colonies and worlds and a UN-like government controlling everything and over 200 alien species. Sky Sterling was once a normal human girl and traveled with her Uncle, digging up human relics and such. Then, at one point there was a mixup and her uncle received a crate of illegal artifacts supposed to be sent to a collector. Sky rooted through them and took an old golden band with runes inscribed in it, and tried it on. The magical object placed a curse upon her, turning her into a unicorn-like humanoid and giving her the power to shapeshift. It also melded with her to become her horn. Since then the artifact collector, actually a powerful warlock, has been chasing after her to reclaim his item and harness her powers.

She's definitely a slippery one, that Sky. A fast talker, and fast on her feet, she likes ducking out of sight to change appearance and escape from her persuers. A good thing, considering she's a kleptomaniac and has a penchant for nabbing shiny things ;D

So that's where this character came from... good to finally know the backstory. I envy your ability to be able to hook up with and play D&D type games... I never could get into a decent group, and DMing is too much work for me.

You know, the only freaky thing about your line art is the lack of pupils. Just make me keep going back and giving a little shudder. Wonderful detail work otherwise though... who knew furry hands on girls would be so sexy...

Heh, it's really just a core group of us here at school that do it, we played normal D&D until our DM left, so now we do the anime one. And I sympathize with you on the DMing part, that takes a lot of time and planning >.o I do hope you're able to find a good group some time and develop those fun character ideas of yours ;3

Perhaps one day I'll post my work with Kajm and Thunder, after a heavy edit session. Those characters I'd love for you to draw are from three years of work, and if I DM anywhere, that's how I do it. Our free form role playing sessions are fun and memorable, if only for the massive archive they leave behind. But sometimes it'd be fun just to sit around a table and roll dice again, if you know what I mean.

Hee, I'd love to do that. Currently I'm struggling with that motorcycle of yours ;D And yay free-form RPing! We're hoping to turn all those stories of Gaius and the others into an illustrated novel some day :d

Wow... I love your art ^^

I was wondering, would you mind if I tried coloring one of your pieces? I'm not as good as you, probably, but I need practice, and don't have all that much good lineart to practice on Oo

Absolutely, go right ahead and use whatever line art you like! I'd love to see how you color them, and I'm actually flattered that you'd want to ^_^

Wow, interesting... I'm used to the old D&D in the regular worlds, though my DM has been talking about crashing an alien ship on the planet or something...
I imagine that she's going to work as the team's theif, considering your description.

Overall great drawing, i never saw a character that looks like that before. She looks like something out of greek mythology.
